About the Opportunity
We are partnering confidentially with a rapidly expanding, nationwide women’s health diagnostics platform undergoing a major enterprise technology transformation. This organization operates a multi-state network of imaging centers and is investing heavily in modernizing its clinical systems, cloud infrastructure, and AI capabilities to support aggressive growth and enhanced patient outcomes.
Reporting directly to executive leadership, the Senior Director of Technology & AI - Clinical Systems will own the end-to-end strategy, modernization, and performance of all clinical applications across the enterprise. This role is highly visible and mission-critical, sitting at the intersection of healthcare delivery, imaging systems, enterprise data, and artificial intelligence. This is a transformational leadership opportunity to design and scale next-generation clinical technology platforms across a fast-growing national footprint.
Executive Scope & Impact
The Senior Director of Technology & AI - Clinical Systems will define and execute a comprehensive clinical systems roadmap supporting scheduling, radiology information systems, image management, AI-enabled diagnostics, and downstream reporting workflows.
Within the first 12 months, success will include:
- Deploying a scalable, cloud-enabled radiology systems architecture supporting 99.9 percent uptime
- Establishing an enterprise imaging data framework to enable advanced analytics and AI pilots
- Improving exam-to-report turnaround time by at least 20 percent through workflow optimization
- Building and mentoring a high-performing, multi-site clinical technology team
Key Responsibilities
- Own the enterprise roadmap for clinical applications, including RIS, PACS, scheduling, image management, and AI-enabled diagnostic platforms
- Lead large-scale system upgrades, integrations, and new-site activations across a rapidly expanding multi-state environment
- Drive AI strategy within imaging operations, identifying and piloting machine learning use cases to enhance diagnostic accuracy and throughput
- Partner with physicians, radiologists, and operational leaders to translate clinical workflows into scalable, secure technical solutions
- Oversee vendor strategy, contract negotiation, SLAs, and co-innovation initiatives
- Establish strong governance across cybersecurity, HIPAA compliance, and data privacy standards
- Manage multimillion-dollar budgets and performance metrics, ensuring disciplined program execution
- Develop and retain a high-performing team across geographically distributed locations
Ideal Executive Profile
- 10+ years of progressive leadership in healthcare IT, clinical informatics, or enterprise healthcare systems
- Deep expertise overseeing imaging platforms such as RIS and PACS at scale
- Proven success leading multi-site implementations and complex integrations
- Strong understanding of interoperability standards, including HL7 and FHIR
- Hands-on knowledge of data architecture and AI or machine learning applications in clinical environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse, distributed teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Biomedical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred
