Neighborhood AI is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering communities of all ages to use AI responsibly, recognize online scams and deepfakes, and navigate the digital world safely and confidently. Our mission is to provide accessible AI education and digital literacy resources to kids, adults, and seniors alike.

About the Role

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization from the ground up. As a Founding Board Member, you will help shape the vision, strategy, and structure of Neighborhood AI.

Responsibilities

• Establish the nonprofit’s vision, mission, and strategic priorities.
• Provide governance and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Assist with fundraising, partnerships, and community outreach.
• Offer expertise in areas such as AI, education, cybersecurity, or nonprofit management.
• Participate in regular virtual board meetings and planning sessions.

Qualifications

• Passion for digital literacy, AI education, or community empowerment.
• Experience in nonprofit governance, technology, education, or related fields is a plus.
• Willingness to dedicate time and expertise to help launch a new nonprofit.
• Strong collaborative, strategic, and problem-solving skills.
