Job Description

About Us

We are an exciting new global marketplace platform, designed for the textile industry. We connect textile machinery manufacturers with textile production companies, as well as the main stakeholders of the textile industry, in order to showcase the most sustainably innovative textile machinery available today. We have launched in several markets, including Turkey, Bangladesh, India, China and parts of Europe and we have ambitious growth plans.

Our company is founded by international entrepreneurs, all of whom have significant experience and expertise in manufacturing, gained at senior and Board level. We have global investment partnerships set up with in-country banks, and our revenue is generated through textile machinery manufacturers, on both a subscription basis and single transactions.

Our aim is to make the latest and most sustainable manufacturing technology accessible globally to all sizes of textile manufacturers. Our platform is rapidly gaining traction with both textile and machinery manufacturers.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Director of Audit and Compliance to join our executive team at Ivy Decarb. This critical leadership role will be responsible for defining and overseeing Ivy Decarb's global audit strategy, with a singular focus on external audits, the ownership of the methodology for measuring and validating the positive impacts generated by investments made by our Textile Manufacturer clients. This role is essential for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and external reporting of our platform's claimed contributions to decarbonization, sustainability, and productivity within the textile industry across all our target markets (Italy, Turkey, Bangladesh, India, China and other sourcing countries).

You will directly manage relationships with external assurance providers and lead the strategy for the validation and external reporting of ESG metrics and investment performance. Oversight of the internal audit and financial compliance functions remains, but the core mandate is the integrity of external-facing impact claims. High visibility, executive-level leadership, and international scope.

As such, it’s essential that you’ll have significant experience in external audit, assurance, and impact validation, particularly in relation to investment performance, ESG reporting, and industrial sustainability. The role requires a strong technical understanding of audit methodologies, internal controls, and the ability to translate complex impact data (decarbonization, productivity) into verifiable, auditable results.

You will be excited about working in a startup with a distinct product offering that is transforming the sustainability of the textile industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and govern the global internal and external audit strategy and assurance framework for Ivy Decarb and its associated reporting on client impact.
  • Lead the definition and implementation of the methodology for measuring and validating the positive impacts (decarbonization, sustainability, and productivity gains) from textile manufacturer investments.
  • Oversee all external audit engagements, including those focused on validating the positive impacts (decarbonization, sustainability, and productivity gains) from the investments made by textile manufacturers using the platform.
  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls and audit methodologies to ensure compliance with relevant financial, regulatory, and ESG reporting standards across all global operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to align audit plans with business objectives and risk management priorities.
  • Manage and grow the global audit budget and lead a multidisciplinary team focused on internal audit, assurance, and impact validation.
  • Define and track key audit and compliance metrics (e.g., audit completion rate, findings resolution, external assurance success) and report directly to the Board/Audit Committee.

About You

10+ years of progressive experience in audit, assurance, and compliance leadership, with at least 3-5 years in a senior/executive leadership (CAE/VP of Audit/Head of Assurance) role, preferably within a technology platform or a company with significant international operations.

You'll also have:

  • Strong background in external audit, financial compliance, and ESG/Impact validation in an international setting.
  • Proven hands-on experience developing and executing global audit and assurance roadmaps for complex organizations.
  • Ideally, a solid understanding of the textile industry, manufacturing processes, or sustainability/decarbonization measurement standards (e.g., GHG Protocol, relevant ISO standards).
  • Proven leadership of high-performing, geographically distributed Audit and Assurance teams.
  • High level of rigor in audit due diligence, risk assessment, and performance measurement of internal controls.
  • Fluent, high-level English; comfortable operating in global contexts.
  • Ability to translate complex business challenges and impact data into clear, auditable frameworks and vice versa.

Key Differentiators

  • Unique blend of external audit expertise + impact validation/ESG domain knowledge + global compliance ability.
  • Proven success in establishing a credible and effective audit function that supports global scaling and ethical reporting.
  • Strategic vision combined with strong operational execution in internal controls, risk management, and external assurance.
  • Exceptional communication skills, executive presence, and cross-functional leadership, particularly between technical/impact teams and financial/compliance teams.

What Ivy Decarb Offers

  • A strategic, high-impact role in ensuring the integrity and credibility of the sustainability transformation of the textile industry.
  • Full ownership to co-define and lead Ivy Decarb’s global audit, assurance, and impact validation strategy.
