Director of AI & Infrastructure

About the Role

As the Director of AI & Infrastructure, you will play a strategic, high-impact role within the Data Science & Infrastructure group. This position combines defining and executing the organization’s AI vision and strategy, providing deep technical leadership, and managing within a complex and regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the AI vision and lead the organizational roadmap in this domain.
• Lead a multidisciplinary group including AI researchers/engineers and infrastructure professionals.
• Drive AI solutions from ambiguous early-stage concepts through full production deployment.
• Work with LLMs and classical ML models at scale.
• Implement advanced MLOps practices and ensure production-grade standards.
• Balance innovation with stability, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Product, IT, Security, Architecture, and executive leadership.
• Advance initiatives and drive execution within a complex organizational structure.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of managerial experience, including managing through team leads.
• 8+ years of experience in Data Science / Machine Learning.
• Significant experience working with LLMs and ML models in production environments.
• Strong experience working with textual data / NLP.
• Deep understanding of MLOps and model deployment within large or regulated organizations.
• Strong proficiency in Python and solid understanding of system design, APIs, and production-grade thinking.
• Proven experience leading AI solutions from research or early-stage ideation through full production deployment.
• Ability to work effectively and influence stakeholders across multiple organizational levels.
