Chem Chip is a U.S.-based technology initiative developing next-generation AI-powered chemical sensing systems for field use. The role of Chemical Detection Field Expert supports the design and validation of detection tools used by first responders, law enforcement, and scientific professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Share field insights on chemical detection and verification workflows.
- Help engineering understand safety protocols and operational constraints.
- Review prototypes and offer practical feedback based on field experience.
- Collaborate on identifying pain points in current detection methods.
- Assist in creating training materials, safety checklists, and documentation.
- Participate in knowledge exchange with engineers, chemists, and data scientists.
- Optionally validate non-sensitive testing procedures for R&D.
Qualifications
- Practical experience in chemical detection, field testing, or forensic analysis.
- Familiarity with spectroscopy methods such as Raman or FTIR is a plus.
- Strong grasp of field safety procedures and operational workflows.
- Excellent communication and situational awareness skills.
- Experience with CBRN, DEA/CBP or first-responder detection programs.
- Exposure to R&D or technology evaluation projects.
