About The Role

We are seeking a Research Assistant for a fixed-term, part-time position (0.25 FTE, 9.125 hours per week) at Gibbet Hill University of Warwick. This role is available for 23 months, starting from April 1, 2026, and involves working with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, public health researchers, and data, social, and computer scientists.

About You

The ideal candidate will hold a good honours degree and a Master’s degree in a medical, health-related, life, computer, data sciences, or research methods related subject. You should possess excellent computing and programming skills in multiple languages and environments, or demonstrate the capability to upskill rapidly. Experience with machine learning and AI in biomedical settings is highly desirable. Key responsibilities include problem-solving, managing and analyzing datasets, and publishing academic outputs. You will be expected to report regularly on progress and attend meetings with project partner groups both within the UK and overseas.
