About The Role
The Department of Computer Science at the University of Warwick is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join its dynamic and supportive team. This role contributes significantly to research, teaching, and impact activities. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s most successful Computer Science Departments during a period of growth.
We are looking for outstanding candidates pursuing theoretical and/or experimental research, particularly in the following areas:
- AI and ML Systems and Applications
- AI Safety and Privacy
- Computer Systems and Architectures
- AI Foundations
- Theoretical Computer Science
- Computer Security
- Quantum Computing
Assistant Professors will undergo a probation period, usually five years, with successful completion leading to promotion to Associate Professor. The department offers further opportunities for advancement up to Professor level.
About You
You will hold a PhD or equivalent in Computer Science or a related subject by the start date of the post. You will possess an excellent academic record, evidenced by impactful publications in peer-reviewed venues, significant software artefact design and implementation, and academic awards in Computer Science. A strong commitment to both undergraduate and postgraduate education is essential. Applications will be considered on their merits for both Assistant and Associate Professor positions.
