Your Opportunity
The Senior Data Analyst BI Developer role supports MedIT by enabling data-driven decision-making across Temerty Medicine. Reporting to the Data Architect, you will develop Power BI dashboards, design actionable BI solutions, and ensure data quality, governance, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Translate enterprise data models into actionable BI solutions.
- Support BI architecture, ensuring data quality, security, and compliant KPI definitions.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or Git along with performance tuning.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and promote data literacy.
- Maintain documentation and reusable BI components in line with governance.
Essential Qualifications
A Master's Degree in a related field along with a minimum of five years of experience in data analysis and BI development is required. Proficiency in Power BI, DAX, SQL, data modeling, and knowledge of data warehouse architectures is essential. Experience with Azure technologies, ETL pipelines and compliance frameworks in academic or public-sector settings is also necessary.
Assets
- Experience working with student data in higher education.
- Familiarity with University of Toronto systems and Tableau visualizations.
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure Purview, and Power BI Certified Datasets.
