Data Arena Coordinator

About the Role
As the Data Arena Coordinator, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive administrative services, as well as coordinating and facilitating a diverse range of events and activities within the Data Arena. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, external partners, and various stakeholders to ensure the seamless operation and optimal utilisation of the Data Arena for both events and crucial research activities.
About You
As the Data Arena Coordinator, you will be expected to:
- Coordinate and schedule various events and activities within the Data Arena, including workshops, presentations, and vital research showcases.
- Act as the primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, offering essential support and guidance for effective event planning and execution.
- Collaborate strategically with eResearch and Data Arena team members to guarantee that all Data Arena equipment and software are fully operational and precisely optimised for each event.
- Efficiently handle administrative tasks related to the general operations of the facility, including event bookings, invoicing, reporting, and meticulous data collection for event evaluation and subsequent improvements.
- Warmly greet and assist all visitors to the Data Arena, providing them with comprehensive information about the facility and its extensive capabilities.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Relevant tertiary qualification combined with pertinent experience; alternatively, an equivalent level of knowledge acquired through any other combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Demonstrated experience and a proven track record of success in event coordination or a similar role, with a preference for experience within a technical or university environment.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills, coupled with the proven ability to effectively plan and manage multiple events concurrently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to effectively convey complex concepts and ideas to diverse audiences in a clear and concise manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to build and maintain robust working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, thereby fostering a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
Role Eligibility

Remuneration & Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $83,906 to $95,989 pa (HEW 5), pro rata for part-time employment. This position also attracts a generous 17% superannuation contribution in addition to the base salary. This position is part-time (0.6) and will be a continuing appointment.
