About the Role

The Senior Network Engineer at University of Portsmouth is responsible for the operation and administration of wireless, voice, data network services and firewalls. You will serve as a point of reference for colleagues in areas such as wireless networking, DNS/DHCP, and firewall administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and administer wireless, voice, and data network services
  • Manage firewall configurations and maintain network security
  • Serve as a reference for DNS/DHCP and wireless networking
  • Lead maintenance and development of systems, processes, and documentation
  • Collaborate with internal customers and external service providers

Work Arrangement & Contract Details

This is a fixed term contract until 31 January 2027 (covering maternity leave) with hybrid working available and requirement to be in Portsmouth a few days a week.
