Intermediate Coordinator, Research
The University of Ottawa seeks an Intermediate Coordinator, Research to oversee the roll out and execution of a research study protocol at the Breaking the Cycle Community Centre in Toronto, Ontario.
Position Purpose
Reporting to the Manager of Clinical Services, you will be responsible for participant recruitment, data collection, and quality control for a study funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. The role involves in vivo observation, participant tracking, and extensive collaboration with internal and external teams.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Recruit and enroll study participants, explain the research study.
- Obtain informed consent and manage compliance issues.
- Collect data at multiple intervals and ensure data integrity.
- Conduct in vivo observation and coding of mother-child interactions.
- Maintain and share regular updates and summary reports.
- Assist in literature reviews and presentation development.
- Collaborate with BTC clinicians and external research members.
- Support monthly research meetings and knowledge dissemination.
Knowledge, Skills, Education and Experience
The ideal candidate has a Master's or equivalent in Psychology, Public Health, Child Development, or related fields. A strong background in research, data collection, project management, trauma-informed approaches, and intermediate MS Office skills is required. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential.

This fixed-term, 12-month position is based in Toronto, Ontario at the Breaking the Cycle Community Centre.
