Overview

Join the Center for Public Management at the University of Oklahoma and make a daily impact in the lives of Oklahomans. OU CPM provides training, research, and consulting to enhance public sector agencies. As a Case Initiation Specialist, you will be responsible for establishing electronic records used in child support case management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed online research to verify and clarify information.
  • Create and maintain electronic records for child support cases.
  • Review, collect, and verify child support data from various sources.
  • Apply state and local laws in case processing procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members and maintain professional relationships.

Work Environment & Training

This position offers a cubicle workspace during daytime hours with weekends off and most state holidays. Remote or hybrid work options may be available after meeting productivity goals. In-service training, coaching, and mentoring are provided to ensure performance excellence.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with 18 months of related experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with basic computer skills and customer service aptitude.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English and proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.

Additional Information

This role requires a background check including national fingerprinting and police records check. Compliance with The University of Oklahoma Norman Campus Tuberculosis Testing policy is required.
