About the Executive Assistant Role
Are you a master organizer with a talent for keeping leaders on track and operations running smoothly? Join LSA Advancement as the Executive Assistant to our Assistant Dean. In this fast-paced, collaborative role, your drive and meticulous attention to detail will significantly impact our daily operations.
You will expertly manage complex calendars, coordinate meetings, and adeptly handle changing schedules. Your proactive organizational skills will make you the go-to person for all meeting logistics, including reserving rooms, preparing materials, and arranging travel. You will communicate professionally, draft polished emails and reports, and manage confidential information with the utmost discretion. Additionally, you will accurately manage travel and expense reports, ensuring compliance and attention to detail.
Your collaborative spirit will contribute to a positive and engaged office culture, as you troubleshoot day-to-day issues and provide support wherever needed to ensure seamless operations. Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience supporting executive-level professionals in a fast-paced administrative role, requiring confidentiality, timeliness, customer service, organization, and prioritization.
- Proven editing, proofing, and writing experience.
- Strong communication skills, coupled with excellent people skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and external constituency groups and to collaborate effectively with colleagues in a team environment.
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information, maintaining integrity and professionalism.
- Experience with strategic project management, including tracking action items, developing timelines, and monitoring progress towards short- and long-term goals.
- Strong organizational skills, demonstrated initiative, acute attention to detail, and the ability to independently set and adjust priorities.
- Proven ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and Google Suite (Mail, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.).
- Experience working with a customer relationship management tool (e.g., PeopleSoft, Salesforce, DART).

Work Location and Arrangement
Our primary office is at 309 Maynard Street in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with time potentially split between this location and the LSA building at 500 S. State Street. This position requires a minimum of 4 days per week on-site. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required for special events. While eligible for hybrid work, arrangements are at the discretion of the hiring department, reviewed annually, and subject to change.
