About the Role
The University of Iowa Accounts Payable Department is seeking a qualified Accountant to support various accounts payable duties, with an emphasis on evaluating and resolving voucher match exceptions on Purchase Orders and Ghost Cards.
Duties Include
- Oversee the AP Receiving shared email account and respond professionally.
- Analyze and monitor key performance indicators for Accounts Payable.
- Assist with identifying opportunities for automation.
- Support monthly accounting reports preparation.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field (or equivalent), at least 6 months experience in Accounting/Accounts Payable, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), excellent written and verbal communication, strong organizational and analytical skills.
Desirable: Experience with automated accounting systems, familiarity with PeopleSoft, APPO, ePro, ProTrav, and understanding of University business processes.
Position Details
This is a full-time position with a 100% remote work arrangement within Iowa, scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Salary is $42,392 and may be commensurate with experience.
