Overview
The University of Central Florida is seeking an Academic Success Coach - College of Business Administration. This newly created role combines academic advising and academic coaching to empower student success and enhance retention, progression, and timely graduation. The position operates within the Division of Student Success and Well-Being and works collaboratively with multiple campus partners.
The Opportunity
The Academic Success Coach (ASC) will maintain a caseload of students, utilize coaching methodologies and case management approaches, and provide holistic support and guidance. The role involves leveraging technologies such as MyKnightStar and Microsoft Office Suite to monitor and boost student outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive coaching services by tracking student engagement and progress.
- Develop proactive outreach and success plans for student retention.
- Analyze academic and personal challenges, referring students to appropriate campus resources.
- Collaborate with college representatives to implement strategic student success initiatives.
- Meet productivity goals and uphold professional ethical standards.
Assistance to Academic Colleges
Represent the college in retention and progression initiatives, assist with recruitment, orientation, and ongoing engagement programming to promote timely graduation.
Minimum and Preferred Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree and relevant experience or equivalent combination; prior experience in higher education, coaching, case management, or customer service is preferred. Proficiency with MyKnightStar, Microsoft Office, and MS TEAMS is an asset.
