Job Summary
The Junior Web Application Developer at University of California, Davis works under the direction of the DevOps Manager in an agile team to develop complex web applications for enterprise-wide deployment across 10 UC campuses and 5 medical centers. The role involves designing, coding, and documenting application specifications while championing test-driven development at all levels including Unit, Integration, and End to End testing. The candidate will collaborate with senior developers and learn department technologies as well as new processes.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related area. Experience in developing complex web applications using frameworks like Angular or React, Java 8+, NODE, HTML5, and CSS3. Familiarity with MVC patterns, database design (NoSQL and RDBMS), ORM, stored procedures, and automated testing tools like Protractor, Karma, Jasmine, Mocha, or Junit.
Preferred Qualifications: Coursework or experience in computer science, business function interpretation, application methodologies, mentoring technical staff, and systems analysis.

Approximately 90% analytical and development support with 10% other duties as assigned.

Position Information & Benefits
