Overview
The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary is seeking a full-time, limited term Undergraduate Program Specialist. This position, lasting approximately 24 months, involves advising and administering comprehensive student services for undergraduate business students.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide accurate guidance on procedures, policies, and regulations.
- Administer all aspects of student affairs from pre-admission to graduation.
- Review academic credentials and assess transfer credits.
- Process applications for degree and manage registration requests.
- Collaborate with Enrolment Services and other stakeholders.
- Support external marketing and recruitment events.
- Uphold University policies and occupational health and safety standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
Candidates must have at least 6 months advising experience within the past three years, a minimum four-year undergraduate degree, and 2-4 years progressive program administration and student advising experience. Strong communication, interpersonal, organization, negotiation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are required. Experience with PeopleSoft, academic audit tools, and other university systems is an asset.
Additional Information
The role operates Monday to Friday with standard hours (8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M) but may require flexibility for evening and weekend hours. It is part of the AUPE bargaining unit under the Specialist / Advisor Job Family. The application deadline is October 20, 2025.
