About the Faculty and Team
The Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences is one of the largest faculties with over 4,000 students and 1,000 staff, ranked among the top biomedical universities worldwide. The Medical Programme Directorate (MPD) within the School of Medicine manages the MBChB curriculum and supports academic processes and student services.
The Opportunity: Year 4 Coordinator - FMHS
This part-time academic permanent role (12 hours per week; 0.3 FTE) involves coordinating Year 4 attachments within the MBChB programme. You will provide pastoral and academic support to students, assist with timetable production, liaise with staff and support services, and contribute to curriculum review and development.
- Oversee Year 4 attachments, teaching, and assessments.
- Provide orientation and support for students including pastoral care.
- Collaborate with Phase 2 Director and other coordinators.
- Assist in timetable production and curriculum review.
About You
We are seeking a committed individual with a background in health professional education. Essential qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, experience in providing student support, and strong communication skills. Preferred candidates will also have a higher degree and significant experience in tertiary health education and within the MBChB programme.
