The University of Georgia is seeking a dedicated Student Affairs Case Manager to join the Student Care & Outreach (SCO) team. This role is crucial in providing individualized support and coordinating resources for students facing complex personal, academic, financial, and well-being challenges. The position plays a key role in managing the UGA Student Food Pantry and supporting initiatives for students experiencing homelessness or housing instability.

Position Summary
The Student Affairs Case Manager provides individualized assessment, intervention, and coordinated support for students with complex needs. This role involves managing a caseload, coordinating campus and community resources, and assisting with the UGA Student Food Pantry and Embark@UGA initiatives. The Case Manager collaborates with partners to address systemic barriers impacting students' basic needs and enhance institutional support. The position reports to the Assistant Director of Student Care & Outreach.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct individualized assessments and develop support plans for students.
- Manage an active caseload of up to 60 cases weekly, prioritizing by acuity.
- Evaluate emergency financial assistance requests and recommend fund disbursement.
- Serve as a liaison between students, families, faculty, and administrators.
- Consult with faculty regarding students of concern and provide recommendations.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams for students with complex needs.
- Maintain confidential case documentation in the Advocate Symplicity system.
- Provide case management for students in the Embark@UGA program.
- Collaborate to identify resources for housing insecurity and financial instability.
- Design and implement outreach initiatives for basic needs resources.
- Research best practices for students experiencing foster care or homelessness.
- Identify grant and funding opportunities for support services.

Basic Qualifications

Work Schedule and Compensation
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, with some nights and weekends required.
