Position Summary: Administrative Assistant II, General

Join the dynamic Allied Health team at Toronto General and Princess Margaret Hospital. This team includes Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Physiotherapists, Dietitians, Respiratory Therapists, Dietitian Technicians, and Rehab Assistants. This is an on-site, casual position, reporting to the Manager, Allied Health, with day shifts and an hourly salary range of $25.56 to $31.95. The closing date for applications is February 20, 2026.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and advanced functions to provide word processing and typing services for moderate and/or complex document production.
  • Perform comprehensive reception responsibilities, ensuring smooth departmental operations.
  • Accurately complete payroll processing for the Allied Health team.
  • Maintain and update written and/or electronic calendars and schedules for assigned personnel.
  • Administer and monitor billing procedures and departmental budgeting records, ensuring financial accuracy.
  • Modify and maintain electronic and paper information filing/retrieval methods, systems, and/or formats.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support team functions.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Grade XII (12) or a recognized equivalent.
  • Completion of a recognized medical or business post-secondary secretarial arts program at the diploma level.
  • Three (3) years of related secretarial support experience preferred.
  • Previous on-the-job experience with computer/word-processing, database, and spreadsheet software.
  • Proficiency in a Microsoft Office environment.
  • Experience working in a health care environment is considered an asset.
  • Experience with Epic is preferred.
