The Opportunity: Senior Artificial Intelligence Security Engineer
The Digital Threat Management (DTM) team at UMG is actively seeking a Senior Artificial Intelligence Security Engineer. This pivotal role is responsible for establishing, maturing, and overseeing a unified framework dedicated to AI security. You will directly influence enterprise strategy, ensure regulatory exam readiness, significantly reduce risk, and enhance overall data trust. A key aspect of this position involves leading and executing multi-year roadmaps for AI and data security, working with cross-functional partners to conduct repeatable security posture reviews and evaluate new AI and data systems as they are developed.
Key Responsibilities (How You’ll CREATE)
- Lead the enterprise AI Security program, defining critical policies, standards, and best practices.
- Adopt and operationalize advanced tools for visibility and control over AI access and behaviors.
- Develop and implement robust defenses against prompt injection, jailbreaking, and indirect prompt injection attacks.
- Provide expert advice on methods to filter and guardrail AI models, preventing the generation of toxic or restricted content.
- Implement strategies and solutions to effectively reduce the risk of data loss through AI systems.
- Introduce crucial AI security control points directly into the CI/CD pipeline, securing internal codebases and managing third-party dependencies.
- Assist in the foundational formation and ongoing development of the AI Center of Excellence.
- Assess, build, configure, and deploy solutions designed to detect and react to anomalous model behavior.
- Offer strategic insights on positioning security operations for the effective detection and response to AI-specific breaches.
- Contribute significantly to general security architecture and engineering duties within the DTM team.
- Oversee data quality, metadata management, and issue remediation functions to enhance data integrity and trust.
- Lead enterprise-wide risk assessments related to data management, protection, and quality.
- Provide strategic leadership on data-driven transformation initiatives, embedding governance into system modernization, cloud adoption, and digital projects.
What You'll Bring (Your VIBE)
We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical background and a deep understanding of AI and cybersecurity intersections:
- AI/ML Frameworks and Services: Experience with platforms such as LangChain, PyTorch, AWS Bedrock / SageMaker, and Google Vertex AI.
- AI Security Frameworks: Familiarity with NIST AI RMF, MITRE ATLAS, Google SAIF, and OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications.
- Security Tools: Proficiency in DSPM, SAST, SCA, DAST, SSPM, NHI Security, and similar tools.
- Development: Strong skills in Python and general AI development practices.
- Cloud Security: Expertise in securing environments within AWS and GCP.
- Experience: 5+ years of dedicated experience in Cyber Security.
- Concepts: Strong command of security principles and security architecture concepts.
- AI Relevance: Deep understanding of AI and its direct relevance to security challenges.
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications are a definite plus.
