About the Role

The A&R Intern at Universal Music Group is part of the Amplify U Early Talent Programme. The internship is a 12-month paid programme offering hands-on experience and professional development in the music industry.

Internship Overview

Interns are placed within specific departments to work on live business initiatives, learn directly from industry professionals, and contribute to administrative, collaborative, and financial projects. This role is embedded in the heart of the busy A&R team, working across multiple artists and their campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and archive audio files and digital assets.
  • Assist with scheduling, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.
  • Support A&R team on product initiation, workflow, and quality control.
  • Coordinate administrative tasks including processing invoices and managing budgets.
  • Research and liaise with legal, licensing, and cross-label project teams.
