Role Overview: Data Governance Analyst

The Data Governance Analyst bridges business needs with technical solutions to ensure effective and responsible data use across Universal Music Group. The role supports data governance operations and audit compliance objectives while integrating data management best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and promote data management best practices across multiple business units.
• Leverage Google BigQuery and integrate with Dataplex for comprehensive governance.
• Conduct user access reviews and manage IAM policies across Google Cloud projects.
• Develop data catalogs, enforce governance frameworks, and maintain data lineage.
• Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and produce user friendly training materials.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in data governance or data management roles.
• Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, and advanced SQL.
• Experience with IAM, ABAC, and governance tools such as Dataplex.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in the music or entertainment industry is a plus.
