Overview

Universal Music Group, the world’s leading music company, is seeking an experienced Data Governance Analyst. This role is key in linking business needs with technical solutions while ensuring effective and responsible data usage across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and institutionalize data management best practices.
  • Utilize Google BigQuery and Google Cloud services for data governance.
  • Conduct user access reviews and manage IAM policies.
  • Develop data catalogs, definitions, tagging, and data lineage.
  • Facilitate workshops and create user-friendly training materials.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years in data governance or data management roles.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery features.
  • Advanced SQL skills with BigQuery-specific syntax.
  • Experience with IAM concepts and Attribute-Based Access Control.
  • Proven experience in creating data governance artifacts.

Preferred Qualifications & Tools

  • Experience with governance technologies such as Google Dataplex.
  • Ability to create compelling data visualizations and dashboards.
  • Knowledge of other GCP services like Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and Composer/Airflow.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field.
  • Experience in the music or entertainment industry is a plus.
