About the Role

This Streaming Fraud Data Research & Analyst role at Universal Music Group UK is for a dedicated analyst focused on investigating and documenting streaming fraud and suspicious digital behavior. The role involves monitoring social media and DSP activity, analyzing large datasets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance UMG’s anti-fraud strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze large-scale streaming and social data.
• Detect and document fraud patterns such as artificial streaming activity.
• Develop data-driven insights for anti-fraud strategies.
• Collaborate with data, legal, and commercial teams.
• Work with DSP and third-party partners to improve data transparency.
• Maintain logs of investigations and document findings.

Qualifications

• Experience in analytical or investigative roles, preferably in digital media or fintech.
• Strong data literacy with proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Background in fraud detection, AML/KYC, or platform integrity systems is desirable.
• Familiarity with visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker.
• Ability to translate technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Attention to detail and excellent recordkeeping abilities.
