Job Summary

The Testing & Analysis Engineer Ride/Show Specialist provides subject matter expertise on one or more ride and show system disciplines such as audio, network systems, parkwide systems, special effects, projection, lighting, set/scenic, props, show action equipment, animated figures, ride systems, mechanical systems, ride control, and show control systems. The role involves research, development, review, approval, and technical analysis. The candidate may be assigned to project teams and must ensure both internal and external specifications are met.

Major Responsibilities

  • Offer technical guidance to support themed entertainment ride/show systems design and delivery.
  • Review vendor design documents including drawings, components, and test plans.
  • Contribute to projects with direct engineering inputs and technical analyses.
  • Generate, edit, and update engineering specifications for ride/show systems.
  • Support installation, test, adjustment, and field assistance activities.
  • Ensure systems portability, maintainability, reliability, operability, and safety.
  • Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities.

Additional Information

Candidates with experience in theme park development, construction, show and ride systems design/fabrication are preferred. Applicants should be capable of interpreting complex technical instructions, managing multiple tasks, researching and synthesizing developmental products, and influencing major decisions with tact and diplomacy. Some global travel (less than 30%) may be required.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field is required; advanced degrees are preferred. A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a theme park specific technical/engineering role or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
