About the role
Product Designer - Aura News (temporary position)
Are you ready to shape the future of how people consume content?
We're building next-generation content experiences at a massive scale, and we're looking for a Product Designer to craft seamless, user-centered experiences across mobile touchpoints.
In this role, you will be a key contributor to the design of our content solution, working within a vibrant cross-functional team to improve the way millions of users consume their news daily. You'll be instrumental in shaping the future of our product, by creating intuitive, delightful and impactful experiences that keep our audience informed and engaged.
This is a temporary position for an initial period of 8 months.
What you'll be doing
- Design impactful and visually appealing experiences that align with user needs and business goals.
- Collaborate with product managers, R&D, business teams and other stakeholders to develop intuitive solutions ensuring a cohesive and custom user experience tailored for both partners and end-users.
- Own features end-to-end, from concept and wireframes through prototypes and final production UI.
- Conduct user research, usability testing and data analysis to validate design solutions and continually refine the user experience.
- Impact strategic business opportunities by visualizing and enriching abstract concepts which showcase the product's value and potential.
What we're looking for
- 2-5 years of product design experience in B2C or B2B2C environments, with a strong track record of launching and iterating on user-facing products in close partnership with R&D.
- Demonstrated ability to translate user needs and product requirements into scalable and impactful solutions.
- Proven track record designing for mobile apps, client-facing platforms or other digital products, ideally with a commercially successful user interface.
- A team player with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization.
- Multitasking, problem solving and prioritizing ability. A critical thinker with a proactive approach, demonstrating the ability to push boundaries and oversee processes from start to finish.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, with experience in user testing and UX research.
- Expert in Figma - including auto layout, variants, prototyping and design systems.
- High level of written and spoken English.
- Portfolio required (mobile product work preferred).

- Familiarity with Android design guidelines and mobile app ecosystems.
- Experience in AI implementation in product design work flows.
- Experience with motion design and micro-interactions.
