Associate Finance Director of Revenue Cycle Insights

About the Role

Optum, a global organization under UnitedHealth Group, delivers care aided by technology to improve health outcomes. As the Associate Finance Director of Revenue Cycle Insights, you will analyze financial performance metrics for key client partnerships, provide guidance for improvement initiatives, and create internal forecasts for revenue cycle performance metrics.

Primary Responsibilities

• Own detailed models to forecast key performance indicators.
• Handle financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
• Evaluate operational performance and financial risks.
• Lead cross-functional teams and direct reports.
• Present complex financial data clearly to senior executives.
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Create external facing reporting and PowerPoint materials.
• Manage multiple projects with clear presentation materials.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years in Financial Analysis.
• 5+ years tracking and reporting client-specific performance.
• Advanced Excel skills including V-lookups.
• 3+ years creating financial metrics for hospital systems.
• Experience presenting to C-level executives.
• Ability to translate complex metrics into insights.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare industry experience.
• Experience with SQL, Python, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Revenue cycle operations experience.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Additional Information

This is a remote position for employees based anywhere within the U.S. and all remote employees must adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy. The annual salary range is $106,800 to $194,200 along with comprehensive benefits.
