Regional Business Office Manager
USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center North Loop and Greater Heights is seeking a motivated Regional Business Office Manager to join our team. We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.
Job Summary
Responsible for all Facility billing, accounts receivable, and collection activities and supervision of billing and collections personnel. Responsible for achieving cash collection and AR goals for the Facility. Works with other department heads to ensure compliance with all financial regulatory and other requirements. Position also manages accounts payable and payroll functions of the facility.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain current policies and procedures for the Surgery Center business office.
- Responsible for the Center’s operations within all legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards as it relates to the business office and medical records department.
- Responsible for all accounts receivable activities and ensure timely cash flow.
- Responsible for accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information
- Responsible for implementing and ensuring that all internal controls are in place
- Interacts with home office billing team and payers to define billing requirements and ensures prompt payment of claims.
- Manages census activities including daily, weekly, and monthly balancing
- Must have an understanding of Accounts Receivable.
- Must have an understanding of Accounts Payable.
- Confidentiality and privacy of all data, including patient, employee and operations data.
- Supports and participates in common teamwork.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Management experience, insurance contracts, healthcare experience, patient-facing experience, registration, medical records, insurance verification
- Minimum of five years business office management experience, three as a department manager.
- Proficiency in accounting and ability to use computer automated accounting systems
- Experience working with all types of third-party payers. (HMO, PPO, Medicare/Medicaid, etc.)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
