General Summary

As a Software Development Engineer I at our credit union, you will be an integral part of digital transformation. Collaborate with experienced engineers, product managers, designers, and data analysts to create innovative financial software that enhances member digital experiences.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement full stack ecosystems for consumer engagement.
  • Create and maintain software applications using NodeJS and current technologies.
  • Collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams on integrations and database structures.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code adhering to best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to Agile processes such as Scrum, automated testing, and CI/CD.
  • Recommend system improvements and comply with regulatory and training requirements.

Non-essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of software development experience in fintech or related field.
  • Experience in building customer-facing software products with user experience focus.
  • Proficiency in web development technologies: NodeJS, ReactJS, HTML, and CSS.
  • Familiarity with version control (git) and CI/CD tools.
  • Basic understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts.
  • Self-starter capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.
