Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated MEICA Engineer to join our team in the Severn Trent Water region at our Tamworth office. The role is responsible for end-to-end MEICA elements of various non-infrastructure projects, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery: Manage day-to-day MEICA installation activities on-site in compliance with health and safety, project specifications, and quality standards.
  • Design & Tender: Participate in tenders, conduct site surveys, and collaborate with teams to develop cost-effective, viable technical solutions.
  • Commissioning & Handover: Oversee the commissioning process and manage final handover ensuring integration and functionality.
  • Technical & Collaboration: Serve as the main technical contact for MEICA works liaising with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers; review technical drawings.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation including reports, progress updates, and commissioning records.

Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in technical, engineering, or project delivery roles in water/process-driven industries.
  • Comprehensive MEICA knowledge across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Demonstrable experience managing projects from design through commissioning.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of site health and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong organisational skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable Attributes

  • Relevant technical qualification (HNC, HND, or degree) in a MEICA-related discipline.
  • Experience with Severn Trent Water projects and non-infrastructure assets such as treatment works or pumping stations.
