Description

At United, you will work on creating what’s next for aviation. As an Engineer- Interiors, you will provide critical engineering support for aircraft interiors and related systems, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. This position involves working alongside cross-functional teams to analyze issues, develop solutions, and implement engineering projects that support line and base operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engineering solutions for aircraft interiors.
  • Conduct project justifications and cost/benefit analyses with regulatory compliance.
  • Review service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and modification requests.
  • Collaborate with operational groups, suppliers, and vendors to maintain safety and efficiency.
  • Investigate technical issues and support failure analysis.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation for repairs and modifications.
  • Occasionally travel to support inspections and project implementations.

Location & Schedule

This role is based at the CSC – Willis Tower in Chicago, IL with a hybrid work schedule (three days per week in the office, subject to change).

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, 0-5 years of experience, basic engineering expertise in aircraft systems, and eligibility to work in the U.S. Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to travel up to 20%.

Preferred: Advanced engineering degree, relevant licenses, experience with CATIA/AUTOCAD, familiarity with FAA regulations, and experience in aircraft interiors engineering.

Compensation & Benefits

Base pay range: $81,700.00 to $106,368.00 per year, plus eligibility for bonus incentives. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, accident & disability insurance, parental leave, commuter benefits, paid holidays, paid time off, 401(k), and flight privileges.
