This is a part-time, contract role for a Technical Business Development Consultant specializing in Drilling Fluids. The primary focus of this role is to help identify potential customers, coordinate drilling-fluid additive sample evaluations, and support vendor qualification processes.Responsibilities
- Introducing and connecting with potential customers in the drilling fluids industry
- Supporting customer sample testing and laboratory evaluations
- Following up technical testing progress and qualification status
- Coordinating communication with drilling fluids engineers, laboratories, and procurement teams
- Helping expand industry relationships and technical evaluation opportunities
Qualifications
- Experience in drilling fluids, oilfield chemicals, or related oilfield service industries
- Existing industry relationships and customer network are highly preferred
- Experience working with drilling fluids engineers, laboratories, procurement teams, or technical evaluation processes
- Former experience with SLB, Halliburton, Baker Hughes, MI SWACO, Baroid, Weatherford, Newpark, or similar companies is a plus
- Strong communication and follow-up skills
- Ability to work independently and support customer evaluation activities
- Technical understanding of drilling fluid additives and laboratory testing processes is preferred
