Digital Delivery Lead at UnionBank of the Philippines

The Digital Delivery Lead orchestrates end-to-end delivery of digital products and transformation initiatives, ensuring scope, timelines, and quality standards are met across Agile and hybrid delivery models. They oversee multi-disciplinary squads, remove impediments, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure alignment with product roadmaps, architecture standards, and cybersecurity/compliance requirements.

This role partners closely with product management, engineering, UX, data, and infrastructure teams to translate business outcomes into executable delivery plans with clear milestones, metrics, and acceptance criteria. It also includes vendor and SOW management, budget tracking and forecast accuracy, resource planning and capacity management, and executive-level status reporting. The Digital Delivery Lead champions continuous improvement, establishes delivery rituals and governance, drives release planning and change management, ensures robust testing and readiness, and measures value realization through KPIs/OKRs and post-implementation reviews.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business/Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Formal Agile delivery credentials such as Scrum Master (CSM/PSM) and/or SAFe Agilist/SAFe Scrum Master (or comparable scaled Agile certification) are required for leading cross-team delivery.
  • Project/program management certification (e.g., PMP or PRINCE2) is strongly preferred for governance-heavy environments, and ITIL Foundation is beneficial for operational handoffs and service transition.
  • Candidates must demonstrate 5–8+ years of experience leading complex digital initiatives—spanning software development, cloud platforms, integrations, or data/analytics—in a multi-team, stakeholder-rich environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (MBA, MIS, or related) and experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., financial services, healthcare, government) are advantageous.
  • Hands-on exposure to cloud ecosystems (Azure/AWS/GCP), DevOps toolchains (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira/Confluence, GitHub/GitLab, CI/CD), and modern product practices (dual-track discovery, A/B testing, telemetry-driven iteration) is highly valued.
  • Prefer candidates with a track record of scaling delivery across multiple products or regions, managing third-party vendors/partners, and implementing standardized delivery frameworks and rituals.
  • Prior success establishing KPI/OKR frameworks, outcome-based roadmaps, and data-informed prioritization will stand out.

Skills and Competencies

  • Expertise in Agile delivery management (Scrum/Kanban) and scaled frameworks, with strong backlog management, release planning, and dependency/risk mitigation.
  • Proficiency in stakeholder engagement and executive communication, translating complex delivery status into clear, decision-ready insights.
  • Solid technical fluency across SDLC, APIs/integration patterns, cloud fundamentals, DevOps/CI-CD, testing strategies, and secure-by-design practices.
  • Financial acumen for budgeting, forecasting, and value tracking; exceptional problem-solving, negotiation, and facilitation skills; and the ability to build high-performing, psychologically safe teams.
  • Competence with delivery tooling (Jira/Azure DevOps), analytics/telemetry for measuring product outcomes, and change management to ensure smooth adoption and operational readiness.
