Unilever is actively seeking an Assistant Customer Strategy and Planning Lead to join their Customer Development team in Ghana. This full-time role, based in Tema, Accra, reports directly to the Customer Strategic and Planning Lead.

Job Purpose
The Assistant Customer Strategy and Planning Lead thrives in dynamic environments, utilizing design thinking for creative problem-solving and demonstrating a passion for numbers, forecasting, and analytics. This role focuses on enhancing trade marketing efficiency and effectiveness while identifying growth opportunities within specific categories and channels. It's ideal for someone dedicated to shopper marketing, data-driven strategies, and cross-functional collaboration, with a passion for delivering objective, shopper-focused plans.
Main Responsibilities
- Channel & Category Development: Translate customer and shopper insights into actionable business opportunities across specific customer segments and channels. Build tailored trade plans aligned with the total trade category plan to achieve category and brand objectives.
- Innovation & Project Coordination: Coordinate customer input throughout the innovation funnel stages. Plan and execute trade launches, ensuring alignment with specific customer needs and market requirements.
- Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP): Provide critical input and support in preparing Customer Development data for monthly and quarterly S&OP cycles. Consolidate insights from field teams and Customer & Market Insights (CMI) to bolster demand forecasting accuracy.
- Net Revenue Management (NRM): Assist in diligently tracking trade investments and evaluating promotional effectiveness. Support comprehensive analysis of pack and SKU mix to optimize overall profitability.
- Customer & Shopper Execution: Implement channel and shopper blueprints and strategies across traditional, modern, and digital channels. Monitor the precise execution of the 6Ps (Product, Price, Place, Promotion, People, and Performance) within designated channels.
Experiences & Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in Sales, Trade Marketing, or Category Management.
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification.
- Strong analytical and digital skills.
- Basic understanding of shopper marketing and CATMAN principles.

- Experience with project coordination or innovation management.
- Exposure to S&OP or demand planning processes.
- Deep understanding of working with external partners and collaborating to provide solutions.
- Analytical mindset: Comfortable with Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
