Job Overview
The UNICEF Investigations Internship offers opportunities across three teams: Investigations, Fraud Investigations, and Strategy, Intake and Analysis. Working at UNICEF means contributing to global child protection initiatives while learning on the job in a dynamic, inclusive environment.
Team Internships
Internship 1: Investigations Team: (2 positions) In-person in New York, Budapest, Nairobi or remote. Under supervision of an Investigation Manager, you will assist in data analysis, research, evidence collection, and production of official reports related to investigations including SEA and child safeguarding cases.
Internship 2: Fraud Investigations Team: (1 position) Primarily in-person in New York, with remote considered. You will support fraud and corruption investigations by reviewing cases, assisting in evidence collection, and maintaining team trackers.
Internship 3: Strategy, Intake and Analysis Unit (SIA): (1 position) In-person in New York preferred but remote is an option. Tasks include initial report review, evidence analysis, preparation of recommendations and detailed case files.
Minimum Requirements
Graduation or current enrollment in university/advanced degree program, 0-2 years of relevant experience, fluency in English. Knowledge of additional languages and proficiency in MS Office and investigative tools is a plus. Excellent communication, organization and confidentiality are essential.
Additional Details
