Position Overview
The Learning and Leadership Development Consultant role supports the independent evaluation of UNICEF’s Manager Support Programme (MSP). This programme enhances people management, inclusive leadership, and supportive supervisory practices. The evaluation focuses on adult learning, leadership development, and organizational culture to guide future programme enhancements.
Scope Of Work
- Design and refine evaluation methodology focused on adult learning.
- Collect data through interviews, focus groups, surveys, and case studies.
- Analyze how MSP components influence management practice and team dynamics.
- Facilitate participatory workshops and sensemaking sessions.
- Draft and finalize key deliverables including evaluation reports and communication products.
Key Deliverables and Timeline
Phase 1 (Inception): Refine evaluation design and produce inception summary by 31 Dec 2025.
Phase 2 (Data Collection & Analysis): Lead analysis of managers’ learning experiences by 28 Feb 2026.
Phase 3 (Sensemaking and Reporting): Document leadership development findings and draft report sections.
Phase 4 (Finalization): Facilitate workshops and support final report and communication products by 30 April 2026.
Qualifications
- Advanced University Degree in Adult Learning, Leadership Development, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in adult learning or leadership development in complex organizations.
- Expertise in coaching, peer learning, and HR/leadership development initiatives.
- Experience with qualitative and mixed-methods evaluation approaches.
- Familiarity with UNEG norms and, ideally, UNICEF practices.
Additional Information
This is a consultancy position based at UNICEF’s Evaluation Office in New York with a home-based setup and potential travel requirements. Applicants must complete the e-Recruitment system, supply academic credentials, and propose a financial plan according to the TOR.
