Data Protection Consultant

Join UNICEF as a Data Protection Consultant to enhance data protection awareness and training. This consultancy supports UNICEF's global data protection programme and ensures compliance with its Personal Data Protection Policy.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work remotely with UNICEF's Chief Data Office. You will be responsible for designing and implementing training sessions, developing communication materials, and supporting data protection events.

Key Deliverables

  • Organize an event for International Data Protection Day including webinars, digital campaigns, and visual material development.
  • Conduct regular briefings and workshops with Data Protection Champions.
  • Integrate data protection training in the induction programme.
  • Develop multiple articles, tips sheets, infographics, and other knowledge-sharing materials.
  • Coordinate with senior leadership for ongoing updates on data protection measures.
  • Establish metrics to monitor training and awareness campaign progress.
  • Draft an adjusted strategy based on metric outcomes and feedback.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in Data Protection, Privacy Law, Data Science or similar field and at least 7 years of experience. Proficiency in data analytics, Excel, Word, and data visualization is required along with excellent communication and project management skills.
