Job Overview
The Cash Based Assistance Knowledge Management & Reporting Consultant will support global reporting and knowledge management tasks for cash-based assistance modalities in fragile and humanitarian contexts. Reporting to the UNICEF Global Cash lead (based in Nairobi), the consultant will work closely with multi-division teams in the Global Cash Hub.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting Activities: Undertake quality assurance, data triangulation, and draft annual reporting narratives for multiple reports. Deliverables include narratives for annual reports, a results table, and a visualization slide deck.
Knowledge Management: Update and disseminate the UNICEF Cash Atlas, develop case studies, prepare internal quarterly newsletters, and maintain resource pages and mailing lists.
Communication Activities: Create internal ICON stories, develop social media messages, and compile data for CBA-focused communications.
Qualifications
A Master’s degree in economics, social science, database management, data analytics, or a related field is required (a Bachelor’s plus additional work experience may be considered). At least 8 years of professional experience in the humanitarian field, including 5 years documenting humanitarian programmes, and proven technical expertise in cash-based modalities are essential.
Additional Information
This is a consultancy role based remotely, with the duty station at Programme Group, Global Cash Hub. The assignment runs from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026.
