Position Overview

The UNICEF Investigations Internship offers four positions across three distinct teams within the Office of Internal Audit and Investigations (OIAI). Interns will assist with case assessments, investigations, evidence collection, and data analysis across multiple investigation domains including fraud, investigations, and strategy.

Internship Opportunities

Internship 1: Investigations Team (2 positions)

  • Assist with research, data analysis, and case assessments.
  • Support production of official reports and memoranda.
  • Help manage SEA/CSG case intake and review third-party investigations.
  • Contribute to evidence collection and investigative interviews.

Internship 2: Fraud Investigations Team (1 position)

  • Research and analyze information related to fraud cases.
  • Produce case assessments and support evidence collection.
  • Maintain case tracking and contribute to reporting progress.

Internship 3: Strategy, Intake and Analysis Unit (SIA) (1 position)

  • Review incoming reports and assist with initial case assessments.
  • Analyze evidence and prepare recommendation reports.
  • Support case documentation and statistical reporting.

Qualifications & Requirements

Candidates must be recent graduates or currently enrolled in a university program with 0-2 years of relevant experience. Fluency in English is required, while additional language skills such as Arabic, French, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Pashto, or Bangla are advantageous. Strong computer proficiency (MS Office and relevant systems), excellent communication, and organizational skills are essential.
