Data and Analytics Consultant

UNICEF is seeking a Consultant (Data and Analytics) to support the development of the EOF’s data science platform. This role offers the opportunity to work with extensive datasets and advanced machine learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) libraries.

Scope Of Work

Data Management

• Onboarding and structuring datasets into the Azure platform.
• Sourcing and onboarding relevant data into the data environment.
• Permission and data system maintenance.

Data Analytics

• Cleaning and analyzing data, primarily using Python.
• Assisting with advanced analytics using Databricks & machine learning libraries.
• Assisting in the iteration of modeling and coding infrastructure.

Visualisations

• Assisting in the development of visualizations.
• Sourcing and trialing third-party visualization software.
• Working with the wider EOF team to refine visualizations.

Education

• A degree in data science, analytics, statistics, economics, applied mathematics, finance, or a related field is required.
• A Master’s degree in a relevant subject is preferred but not required.

Work Experience

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience in data science, computer science, finance, statistics, economics, business, or a related field is required.
• Proven experience with data science through projects or working experience.
• Proven experience with relevant tools such as PowerBI, MapBox, Databricks.
• Proven experience working in the education sector, preferably in a development context.
• Proven experience with outcomes-based financing or innovative finance models is highly desirable.
