We're partnering with a fast-growing consumer technology company building a large-scale digital marketplace used by millions of customers.

Following strong product-market fit and continued growth, they're looking for a Lead iOS Engineer to build and lead the next generation of their native iOS application. This is a rare opportunity to define the mobile architecture, influence product strategy, and establish engineering standards from the ground up while working on a product used at significant scale.

As one of the first dedicated mobile engineers, you'll have genuine ownership, work closely with Product and Design, and play a key role in shaping the future of the company's mobile experience.

What you'll be working on:

• Building a brand-new native iOS application from the ground up
• Defining the app architecture, engineering standards, and development best practices
• Creating intuitive, high-quality mobile experiences across the customer journey
• Collaborating with Product, Design, and Backend Engineering to deliver impactful features
• Driving app performance, reliability, testing, and release processes
• Partnering with backend teams to design scalable APIs and seamless mobile experiences
• Helping shape the long-term mobile strategy and future iOS team

What they're looking for:

• 5+ years building production iOS applications
• Strong commercial experience with Swift and SwiftUI
• Experience designing and shipping high-quality consumer mobile applications
• Strong understanding of iOS architecture, performance, testing, and release management
• Experience influencing technical direction and architectural decisions
• Product-focused mindset with a passion for creating exceptional user experiences
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced start-up or scale-up environment

Nice to have:

• Experience building consumer-facing marketplace or e-commerce applications
• Experience building products from zero-to-one
• Experience mentoring engineers or helping establish engineering best practices
• Familiarity with modern backend APIs and cloud infrastructure

Compensation:

• $190,000 - $210,000 base salary
