Scope of Work
As a Paid Search Strategist at Understory, you will serve as the primary account manager for client paid search campaigns. You are expected to design and implement tailored strategies, optimize campaigns regularly, and ensure accurate tracking, attribution, and reporting.
- Manage 6-8 client accounts with weekly updates
- Optimize campaigns, monitor budgets, and track performance
- Deliver monthly performance and client relationship reports
- Respond to client requests within 12 business hours
- Maintain detailed documentation on account changes and budget pacing
Required Experience & Technical Skills
Applicants should have 3+ years of paid search campaign management experience, preferably for B2B SaaS companies. You must demonstrate expertise in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, conversion tracking, attribution modeling, and performance measurement using tools like Excel and Google Sheets.
- Advanced knowledge of paid search campaign types and bidding strategies
- Familiarity with conversion tracking, UTM parameters, and A/B testing
- Experience with dashboard creation and reporting tools
Soft Skills & Bonus Qualifications
Attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a proactive problem-solving attitude are essential. Bonus qualifications include experience with B2B SaaS marketing funnels, familiarity with CRM platforms such as HubSpot and Salesforce, and previous agency experience.
