About Bosch Engineering Center Cluj
Since 2013, Bosch Engineering Center Cluj has played an essential role in transforming the mobility sector. The center leverages expertise in software, hardware, mechanical and reliability engineering, as well as sales planning, to develop innovative products and services based on artificial intelligence in automated driving, electric and connected mobility.
Role Overview
As a Data Engineer for Connected Services, you will work in the Engineering and Data Solutions department to create secure, high-quality, and automated data integration solutions for a vehicle-to-cloud ecosystem. You will join an internationally distributed team working in a hybrid model.
Responsibilities
- Develop data integration solutions for large scale automotive R&D applications.
- Design, test, and document reliable data solutions.
- Create Proof-of-Concepts and present them for implementation.
- Contribute to software architecture for (near)-real time processing.
- Build scalable, automated ETL/ELT solutions within Big Data frameworks.
- Create and maintain data visualizations in collaboration with domain experts.
- Work in an agile environment with international teams and key stakeholders.
- Guide and mentor new team members.
Technology Stack
- Python with data libraries (pandas, numpy, scipy)
- Optional: Golang, Scala, Java
- Apache Spark / Pyspark
- Big Data platforms: Hadoop, Azure Databricks/Synapse/Data Factory
- Automation tools: Azure DevOps/Pipelines, Apache Airflow, Jenkins
- Streaming: Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, MQTT
- Virtualization: Docker, Kubernetes
- Databases: Oracle, mySQL, MongoDB
- Data Visualization: Tableau, PowerBI
- Version Control: Git, Bitbucket
Qualifications
- BSc and/or MSc in Computer Science, Automation, Electronics and Telecommunications, Informatics, Mathematics or comparable fields.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Data Engineer on integration platforms.
- Proficient in Python programming and quick prototype development.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
- Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written).
- Preferred: Experience in project coordination roles such as product owner or agile master.
