Programme Support Management Unit (PSMU)
The PSMU provides corporate advisory services and direct support for project and programme lifecycle development and implementation. It supports HQ, Regional Offices, and Country Offices to standardize planning, share knowledge, and work collectively towards UN Women’s strategic goals.
Role Summary
As a Programme Management Consultant at UN Women, you will support the professionalization of project and programme management standards and capacities. Your work includes donor reporting, joint programming, and Strategic Note Direct Funding (SNDF) tasks, along with involvement in PRISM and Quantum ERP system integration for project lifecycle management.
Description Of Responsibilities
- Coordinate Joint Programming lifecycle and technical help desk support.
- Provide technical support for donor reporting and global coordination.
- Monitor and support SNDF implementation and capacity building.
- Act as PRISM business/process coordinator for project lifecycle management.
- Define business requirements and support change requests in PRISM alongside Quantum PPM Consultant.
- Engage in special assignments providing technical and advisory support for project lifecycle activities.
Competencies & Qualifications
Required skills include strong coordination, analytical, and organizational skills with proven abilities to design, implement, and report on projects and programmes. A Master’s degree in social sciences or related fields is required along with at least 7 years of relevant experience. Certifications such as PRINCE2®, PMP®, or MSP® are advantageous.
Workplace and Travel
This is a home-based consultancy; occasional in-person training may be required.
