Our client, UMATR, is a high-growth SaaS company currently undergoing a transformative phase. Their core focus is on leveraging data and AI to drive significant business outcomes. As the VP of Data & AI, you will be instrumental in building and leading the company’s Business Intelligence (BI), internal metrics, and overarching AI/Machine Learning (ML) strategy. Given that UMATR’s core product is centered around machine learning, this role holds a pivotal position in shaping both the product roadmap and the broader business strategy.

This is a senior leadership opportunity designed for a technically profound data and AI expert. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to operate effectively at both strategic and execution levels. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple data functions, ensuring alignment across BI, analytics, and AI/ML teams. Your primary objective will be to deliver actionable insights, develop sophisticated predictive models, and implement advanced AI solutions throughout the entire organization.

Required Experience

• Advanced expertise in ML and AI, ideally complemented by a research or academic background (a PhD is highly valued, though not strictly essential).
• Proven experience in successfully building and leading BI, Data, AI, and ML strategies within large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong people leadership capabilities, evidenced by a track record of effectively leading, managing, and developing diverse, multi-disciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in owning and delivering large-scale, product-focused Data and AI strategies from conception to deployment.
• Possession of relevant certifications such as AWS, GCP, DeepLearning.AI, Tensorflow, PyTorch, CDMP, TOGAF9, or equivalent credentials is a plus.
• Prior experience within the Fintech, Banking, Cybersecurity, or Fraud sectors is beneficial but not a prerequisite.
