General Summary Of Position

Under the direction of the Residency Program Director, the Residency Program Administrator I provides operational management of the core residency program including recruitment, on-boarding, orientation, evaluation systems, data management and program accreditation. The Administrator implements and coordinates personnel and regulatory procedures for incoming, continuing and graduating residents.

Major Responsibilities

  • Serve as the initial contact for program matters and resource for program participants.
  • Manage recruitment and selection process; review applications, schedule interviews, and coordinate communications.
  • Coordinate resident appointments, reappointments, terminations, and rotation schedules.
  • Administer and report program and trainee data via various databases and national systems.
  • Assist in design and implementation of evaluation systems and accreditation documents.
  • Manage program events such as orientation, graduation, conferences, and grand rounds.
  • Oversee management of program budget and resident expenditure accounting.
  • Supervise secretarial support and administrative duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business or education or equivalent experience; 2 years experience in health care or academic setting; proficient in Microsoft Office and databases; strong project management and organizational skills; understanding of ACGME requirements preferred; excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
