About the role
Business Analyst Data GenAI Snowflake
UMANTIC TECHNOLOGIES is seeking a Business Analyst Data with expertise in GenAI and Snowflake for a long-term freelance mission. This is a full remote position, with administrative ties to Lyon. The role involves contributing to a strategic digital transformation project focused on the Commercial value chain, specifically deploying a "Talk to your data" feature. This feature will enable business users to query data in natural language using an AI Agent (LLM) that generates reliable SQL queries. The product currently serves 35 users, with plans to expand to over 700 by the end of 2026. Your primary focus will be on the backend and semantic layer, ensuring the quality, consistency, and relevance of AI-generated queries.

Your Missions
Functional Understanding & Product Consistency
- Ensure alignment between business needs and data product capabilities.
- Guarantee functional consistency and overall platform quality.
Coordination & Requirements Management
- Collaborate with source teams to clarify needs and ensure data availability.
- Work closely with the Product Owner to refine and prioritize features.
User Stories & Backlog
- Participate in writing user stories and defining features.
- Contribute to release planning and feature prioritization.
- Ensure user stories are development-ready and aligned with the roadmap.
- Validate or reject deliverables based on acceptance criteria.
Quality Assurance
- Contribute to the creation and execution of test cases.
- Validate data models and their suitability for analytical needs.
- Participate in data quality controls and functional testing.
