Overview

Ulteig is seeking a talented and motivated candidate for the Renewable Lead Engineer Electrical position. In this role, you will support utility-scale Solar, Wind, and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects primarily in an Owner’s Engineering capacity.

What You'll Do

  • Apply standard engineering techniques and industry standards to complete reviews.
  • Review plans, develop observation reports, and provide design guidance.
  • Recommend design alterations to improve quality and mitigate risk.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering leads, clients, and cross-discipline teams.
  • Engage in field investigations to resolve design challenges as needed.
  • Prepare technical reports and ensure constructability, safety, and risk management.
  • Support business development, marketing, and sales efforts in the renewables sector.

What We Expect From You

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • PE or P. Eng. license with 10+ years experience in renewable energy or related industry.
  • Proficiency with engineering software like ETAP, Easypower, PSCAD, CYME, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong technical skills in wind energy systems and battery energy storage systems.
  • Ability to perform AC & DC studies and produce detailed design drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent communication skills with the capability to present complex technical details.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively within compressed schedules.
  • Up to 15% travel and potential remote work requiring high-speed internet.
