The Opportunity

Ulteig is seeking talented and motivated candidates for a Principal Transmission Line Engineer role supporting, managing, and leading transmission & distribution projects across both Power and Renewable lifelines. This role involves design and coordination of High Voltage (69kV-500kV) transmission lines using PLS-CADD, developing the team, and acting as a primary client-facing Subject Matter Expert.

What You’ll Do

• Apply advanced problem solving for high voltage projects.
• Consult on design, development and implementation of transmission line projects.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams and manage client requirements.
• Develop final construction documents and ensure quality control.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead internal training sessions.

What We Expect From You

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering field (Master’s preferred).
• At least 20 years of transmission line engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required; multiple state licensures preferred.
• Expertise in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE with training capability.
• Strong client relationship, team collaboration, and communication skills.

Additional Opportunity Details

• Target Base Compensation Range: $155,500 - $210,300.
• Position posted for minimum 3 days and up to 60 days.
